Our mission parish members and catechumens were requesting additional times of fellowship together as well as an interest in learning to cook Greek cuisine. Today we held our first Greek cooking class with our parish. Our parish members and catechumens brought food items to contribute to the meal that we ate together after cooking together. On this Saturday, we made Pastitsio (Greek lasagna), Spanakopita (Greek spinach pie), Fasolakia (Greek green beans), Smyrna Pilaf (Greek rice with orzo), Choriatiko (Greek salad), and Baklava (Greek filo pastry with walnuts and honey).
