Today we held the baptism for Athanasius. Athanasius completed his catechism with Deacon Gabriel. The baptismal service was held at St. Theresa Church. The family and Athanasius were joined by his new godfather Leonidas.
April 17, 18, 19, 20, 2025
The Maui Mission parish held Holy Week services on Holy Friday (Thursday evening), Holy Saturday (Friday evening) and Holy Sunday (Saturday Evening) at St. Theresa Church in Kihei. On Holy Saturday evening, we joined with parishioners from St. Theresa Church in a Procession of lights.
The mission parish had a feast for Paschal Easter on Sunday, April 20.

Today we held the baptism for Daniel. Daniel completed his catechism with Deacon Gabriel. The baptismal service was held at St. Theresa Church. The family and Daniel were joined by his new godfather Forrest.
Today we held the baptism for Kassiane. Kassiane completed her catechism with Deacon Gabriel. The baptismal service was held at St. Theresa Church. The family and Kassiane were joined by her new godfather Forrest.
Wisdom's Invitation
Wisdom built her house,
And she supported it with seven pillars.
She offered her sacrifices;
She mixed her wine in a bowl
And prepared her table.
She sent her servants,
Inviting people to the bowl with a lofty proclamation, saying,
“He who is without discernment,
Let him turn aside to me;”
And to those in need of discernment, she says,
“Come, eat my bread
And drink the wine I mixed for you;
Forsake lack of discernment, and you shall live;
Seek discernment so you may live,
And keep straight your understanding with knowledge.”
